I worked with NHS Health Scotland’s in-house web team to create a new immunization information website aimed at the general public. This involved auditing the existing content, creating a new information architecture working closely with health program managers and other stakeholders, and editing and writing content. I also wrote the new site’s tagline.
Given the importance of the subject matter, the key to success with this website here was readability and findability – clear, concise writing, coupled with a very easy-to-navigate content structure and good search engine optimization. The site was so popular that all of the other immunization-related microsites were subsequently merged into this one.
